Training 
Training is a critical discipline in the Fire Service. The better we train, the better we are to successfully complete our mission. Sharpening our skills helps assure that we all come home safely from every alarm.
We must always remember to take our training time seriously. Practice just as if it were the real deal. The life you save, just might be your own or that of your partner.

Certain courses are developed and certified by HHFD for our members, however OSHA and New York State certified training is required of all members. HHFD currently receives New York State certified training from an independent consulting firm, Emergency Training Consultants, staffed with certified instructors of various positions within the City of Syracuse Fire Department.
Current courses recently completed: FAST (Firefighter Survival) Certification Scene Support HHFD SCBA and Mask Confidence HHFD Driver Training & Qualifying OSHA Annual Refresher
